Cedar Shakes are wooden shingles that are derived from splitting the wood log. Typically, Cedar Shakes are preferred for their simple and beautiful look. They have been very popular in California or west coast architecture for many years and are often preferred to metal, asphalt, slate or shingle roofs. Regardless of whether you are building a stereo cabinet or dresser, a kitchen cabinet or bathroom vanity, basic cabinet construction is the same. A cabinet or furniture piece consists of the carcass or case with two sides, bottom and top, a back and a front. The front may contain drawers, doors or shelves or combinations of the three. Test your A/C

Now that summer is around the corner and the days are getting longer and hotter, the A/C is going to be put in use to help cool you on those sweltering days where you can barely breath out side. It is a good idea to test your A/C before those days come.

In spring when the days are not quite as hot as the days in the summer, you want to turn on your A/C on to test it out. Other wise when you go to turn it on in the summer and it dose not work you might be on a waiting list to get the A/C serviced.
